The objective of this training is for high school students to learn more about the Ag Equipment/Diesel Technology industry. This training will provide a view of the industry before you make an investment into your career. It will give you exposure to all departments and company operations and will provide on-the-job training in partnership with a mentor.
At Butler, you will experience working with great people on equipment that is high-tech! You will be exposed to satellite-based navigation systems, sophisticated computer-based diagnostics, electronically-controlled engines, and state-of-the-art hydraulics. Our intentions are to develop future Service Technicians that possess critical thinking, problem solving, communications and interpersonal skills. You will be assigned a mentor who is knowledgeable in the company and an expert in the field of diesel technology.

School – Instructors play a critical role during the selection process. They encourage the students to apply and give feedback to Butler regarding the student’s work performance in class. If disciplinary action is required, the instructor and parents get involved.
Parents – Parents are required to attend an introductory meeting to learn about our program. Parents will be encouraged to assist their child in taking the necessary steps to explore the many career opportunities at Butler Ag Equipment.
Butler – Butler offers temporary employment. The philosophy is not a job, but a working experience to learn and grow. Butler will be the teacher in this process and will provide the education.
Mentors – Provide information about Butler to help the student succeed in this industry.

Job Shadow – Job Shadows are available at any of our locations. You will experience a “day in the life” of a service technician and gain exposure to Butler, while participating in an in-depth one-on-one experience. Ask your high school guidance counselor for more information.
