If you have a great attitude and basic mechanical skills, you can begin your education and training to become a Butler Service Technician. ButlerEdge is designed to develop technically competent entry-level Ag Diesel Technicians. Butler partners with students enrolled at Mitchell Technical Institute in Mitchell, South Dakota.
Students receive up-to-date technical training on agricultural equipment and systems through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory instruction and an internship at Butler. Work experience at the dealership is structured to relate to the most recent classroom/lab subjects covered at school. Upon completion of the program, graduates earn an Associate in Applied Science degree (AAS) and employment may be offered.
ButlerEdge will be divided up into 9 terms. Terms will rotate between classroom instruction at Mitchell Technical Institute in Mitchell, South Dakota and a Butler location. During these paid internships, students will earn over $17.77 per hour with a mandatory minimum of 1,280 internship hours. Students are responsible for housing, tuition and tool costs.
